What's up with the Beastie Boys all of a sudden? Last time I even heard of them was on an episode of Futurama, which is a show that hasn't aired for two years or so. Now all of a sudden, they have an overplayed video on MTV, they're playing at the MTV m=Movie awards, etc...and speaking of their performance at the MTV Movie awards, what was that? They that had grey hair! This doesn't represent the youthful look MTV usually tries to put on. Also, they've played that awards show at least once a day since it aired. CALM DOWN MTV. Nickelodeon didn't even air their Kid's Choice Awards this much (funny, considering they're owned by the same company. Yes, kiddies and parents, the same network that's pumping out those incredibly "entertaining" 'toons is also pumping out hours upon hours of RAP MUSIC. Kiddies, run away! Parents, SUE SUE SUE!! LAWSUIT! Or whatever you crazy parents -that sit their kids in front of the tv instead of parenting then blame tv for something that's wrong with their child- do). Wow, that made no sense. Anyway, I just did a little search on Viacom (the aformetnoned company that owns Nick and MTV) and found that they own pretty much every other TV station. Seriously this list taken straight from the website: CBS, MTV, Nickelodeon, Nick at Nite, VH1, BET, Paramount Pictures, Infinity Broadcasting, Viacom Outdoor, UPN, TV Land, Comedy Central, CMT: Country Music Television, Spike TV, Showtime, Blockbuster, and Simon & Schuster. That's a crapload. Crap. I was gonna rant about something else...but I forgot. What else can I talk about...ah, yes. Ha anyone heard of Detective Conan, realeased in the US as "Case Closed"? It's currently playing on Cartoon Network's Adult Swim block at 12:30 am. 'S not a bad show...and I'm done for today. I'll write more later. We don't go. Seriously, I hear my mom say to my sister on Saturday, "You can do somethin' or other after church", then just to be sure, I ask, "So we're going to church tomorrow?" "yes". Later that day, actually that night, My dad calls my mom at work (she works at a scrapbook store on weekends until 11:00 or 12:00 sometimes) and asked her if we were going to church tomorrow, so he would know whether to save time by shaving tonight rather than Sunday morning. So he replies to my mom's reply, "Okay, we're going. I'll shave tonight, then." Then right before I go to sleep, my dad yells up, "Don't forget to set your alarm for church tomorrow." "Okay." The next morning (Sunday), my alarm goes off, I go downstairs, and...no one else is awake. Great. Onto the next subject. It seems I got a pool, not an in the ground pool, and not oe of those crappy 2 foot tall kiddy pools, but one of those larger ones that you have to take 2 weeks of preparation before you can actually put the pool down because we happen to live in the southwest with rock-hard clay dirt that is completely unlevel so we had to dig a 16-foot diameter hole 4 inches deep (which doesn't seem like much but it is when it's that large of a circle) and fill it with sand then level it then it takes about 14 hours to fill with water in fact it's filling right now, kind of pool. Not that i'm complaining or anything. I mean, for someone who has never had a pool in their lives except for those crappy little kiddy ones, getting a pool is pretty darn awesome. Too bad the color of it is such a bright blue that I have to wear sunglasses to just look at it because it pretty much blinds you when it reflects and burns noon-day Arizona sun back into your retinas. Yeah, that girl up in the "comic" up there is Anna, previously seen in such comics as this one. That little situation above is pretty much what happens when we talk. So...there ya go. I'll be sure to fill you in on every little detail of fun I'm having with my pool as soon as it happens. [/end sarcasm] Oh yeah, and I have no idea why there was two calendar things down on the bottom of the page there, but it should be fixed now.
